MULTAN: Muslim College, New Shah Shams Campus, Multan, organized a prestigious conference and inter-collegiate competitions on September 7, 2026, to commemorate Defence Day of Pakistan and promote patriotism, national unity and a spirit of sacrifice among students.
Students from different branches of Muslim College participated enthusiastically in the Defence Day speech competition and national song competition, showcasing their confidence, creativity and dedication.
The Defence Day speeches focused on patriotism, national unity, sacrifice and the services rendered for the defence of Pakistan. Students expressed their love for the country and highlighted the importance of unity, responsibility and dedication towards the nation.
Professor Abid Malik and Professor Rao Nadeem Anjum served as judges for the Defence Day speech competition, while Professor Abdul Samad judged the national song competition.
According to the results, Ali Aftab, Zeba Ghani and Manahil Fatima emerged among the top performers in the Defence Day speech competition. In the national song competition, Ameer Khalid, Salman Arshad, Mabeen Faisal and Noor Fatima secured prominent positions.
The overall arrangements were supervised by Vice Principal Umar Farooq. Imran Bashir and his team managed the seating arrangements, while refreshments for the participants were arranged by Sir Sikandar Dogar.
The event was effectively documented by the college media team comprising Chaudhry Arshad, Mudassar and Tahir Latif.
Students of Rashid Campus could not attend the event due to unavoidable circumstances, while students from the other branches participated actively and contributed to the success of the programme.
At the conclusion of the event, prizes and certificates were distributed among the position holders. A cake was also cut to mark Defence Day of Pakistan.
The programme provided students with a meaningful opportunity to demonstrate their talents while strengthening the values of patriotism, national unity, responsibility and dedication to Pakistan. The administration and teaching staff of Muslim College were appreciated for their efforts in organizing the successful and well-managed Defence Day programme.
